Ticking Clocks

All the lights,
are turned off and on.

All the streets, driven and then empty.

All the stores, open and close.

Breathe in, breathe out.

Live, die.

Day, night.

Could there be anything that does not follow cycle?

The Observation Place

The addiction
Of change.

Has caused me to rebel, lie, hide.

And It's better to live without regrets.
Wake up every morning, look in the mirror.
And forgive yourself.

Exploration, I find, I create.
The addiction, is what has made me.

Delusion is a drug.
Walk into walls.
Never want to be without being affected.

Emerge in disaster. Live in greyscale.
And the world will remind you of the colours all it's own.

Modern World

The one who rests upon her seat,
Plays without aim and seeks defeat.

Head in the clouds reflective and sincere,
Wasted time and unproductive years.

Turning black and and cracked and gone,
But that soul never stops searching for the sun.

Bright and white and dripping into blue,
The sky that sweats precipitation, and hue.

But in the field of flowers, rest assured
One will speak
One will seek
The soul will be found.

Rescued from a maze, consumed.
Escorted the way out, the end of the halt.

The beginning of life...
Breathe now, darling.

Reality is her enemy
Create dreams and colours
Instead.

Impaired Waking Life

Reality's company
Is such a bore.

The disability to believe in ability.

You are all created from my imagination,
Objects, obstacles.

What is memory?

Creation.

It's simple. It's fake.

Life lives, falls and at last comes the break.
I will keep my window open,
The breeze feels better, indoors.

The Incessant Reject

Consistently let down.
Shaken up, unwanted,

Build me a rocket,
Fly me away.

Im exhausted and humiliated of this cruel place.

Toyed and tied, entirely undone.

Blind to purpose anywhere.

No heartbeat found.

Hour Glass Life

Over there, you see.
The reflection in the mirror.
Only glass, looking back.

What is on the other side,
Of the breath I hear you breathe.

When they shut the door, I broke.

When we drove away, paralyzed.

The scratched disk skips and plays on repeat.

Flash, spark, rewind.

The white sinks in the carpet now, no substance left.
Just dry.

Sailor

Filled with hate
She can't escape

Cringing with every breath life takes.

Buried and searching
For purpose and point.

I'd rather sit and gaze at stars and moonlight.
Fly me out silently.
My mind is already tortured.
Gently.

Come down and sift me to the space where I'm a piece.
In a puzzle, no longer missing, ridding of poisonous disease.

In a break no longer coming, the wind will bend trees.
And twist there roots from they're belonging.
No more crying on scraped, red knees.

Conscious Bud Of Light

In the cell vibrating, pulsing
A fluid producing existence.

Floating and wandering beyond
These hollow streets,
And fleeting countries.

A sour sun that burns,
Scoured earth on scorching panorama.

The outside blooms green,
Like veins appearing as river streams.

Escaping through the tubes, producing oxygen to a beating heart.

Cut it off, to find the bittersweet termination.

The timing circling in quickening paces.
Days becoming years, smiles becoming fears.

Over and above, I am willing to break myself off.
This path. This cell is shaken. Lost in an airway.

No longer living like broken skin off a mattress waiting to be swept.
Ultimate aspiration bleeds for death.

Level after layer, after step after floor.
Can't distinguish where the reality is.

Waking, or dreaming.
Breathing or Sleeping.
Pinch me. Wake me. Suffocate me.

Sound the alarm.
Where do I wake from bewildering shudder rest
Or is it psychasthenia?

Roots

The plane preparing for take-off,
Fell to the ground.

The girl waiting for the boy,
Walked away.

The clock flying by,
Stopped working.

The world eternally spinning,
Ended.

The blood pulsing through your veins,
Came to being still.

The loss in your heart,
Disappeared.

The love of your life,
left.

But the roots that clench into the ground.
Hold you together.
Piece by piece and branch by branch.

You will become a forest, a battle,
endless growing, reaching to the height of a drifting cloud.

Trees that are soliders
Fighting, pulsing
Roots digging, deeper. Into the ground.
And you will never move, and you will never become lost.

Burnt Out

The frost kicks in, and kills the heat.
Every ability starts to feel dysfunctional.
Even the ability to breathe.

Everything real starts to feel like a lie, and I wonder if it's me included.

Every feeling starts to feel like nothing.

And nothing is alive anymore.
I say sometimes that I wish I could stop existing.
Stop sleeping.
Stop.

Battling the same situation, the same questions in unending circles
takes the power out of you.

And like a light, I have burnt out.

Surface

For some reason, I think as death as an escape.
Sometimes I want to do it, to myself.

I can't handle this pain that I feel.

Every day. It never ends.
And every time it ends, it always finds a way back.

Maybe if I were over, all this pain that's apart of me would be over too.

If you could give me one reason to live, one word to inspire me, one person to love me and not leave.

If you could just give me help, an answer, a hand.

Maybe you could help me to believe that if my life ends I'd be crying for a way back.

Being at the bottom of the sea is the lowest I could possibly get.
And still, I don't see the surface when I look up.

The Girl Who Lives Asleep

I’d rather live in a dream, it hurts too much to wake up every morning and live each day working, struggling, fighting. With yourself, with others. For happiness, for goals, for wanting things that you can’t have. Most people don’t get the dream. So just live in it. And don’t ever wake up.

After the Rain

And every time you look past the dark,
There will be a glitter in the air.

And every time you remember how to smile,
There will be eyes that are cleared.

And every time you hold your breath,
Just look before you drown.

'Cause you can change your life at any moment.
You can turn it all around.

Don't give up, just because you feel pain,
Remember it will leave, it will fade away.

Fight for your dreams, and cut away your fears.
So where will you go once the rain disappears?

The Reminder

When you forget that life is real, take a breath and remind yourself of this existence. You are alive in life’s every moment, and every second counts for something.

Secret Someone's

Someone broke their promise,
Someone made it rain.

Someone out there is crying,
Because someone is the one to blame.

Someone out there can't see,
Their life is wearing thin.

And all the other someones
Just don't know where to begin.

Someone out there is dying,
Maybe that someone is already dead.

And someone out there is hurting,
with words they left unsaid.

Someone out there loves you,
Someone out there has been forgotten.

For every heart that is broken,
Love has been found.

Balance, gain, loss.

Break, heal.

And know that someone out there needs you.
One of the someones is you.

Life Altering.

I got to listen to an amazing speaker today at College.
She had changed lives in Africa, and it was the best life altering story I have heard in a long amount of time. This was something she said that rang true to my ears:

"Never underestimate how powerful you are."

Remember that.

the truth about freedom

The space between inhale and exhale the space between stars fill up with air, and collapse into dust I walk a sunlit path and breath...
