Matches We Burn
I miss the blue in your eyes
The way you'd try to compromise
The tone in your voice,
The touch of your skin.
The messages you'd send.
All the lies you spilled.
All the vibrations I felt.
I thought it could be real.
I thought I could finally feel.
Now I lay beneath darkness with rain
Now I lay and dream without trying to be sane.
You know I'm not okay now
You found a place to break in and steal.
It only took a plane and a long awaited kiss.
Now I hold onto all I want and miss.
Miss a love that doesn't exist.
The soul, the chemicals that skip a beat.
Out of balance, take a seat.
So I can shout the pain at you
So I can cry the ache out too.
Just need you in the same room
It's burning down, flamed too soon.

the truth about freedom
The space between inhale and exhale the space between stars fill up with air, and collapse into dust I walk a sunlit path and breath...
