Clock

You can sit for hours
And convince yourself to believe
You can try to fight
What you want
Until everyone just leaves

You've been watching the clock
Too long
You've been missing someone
Who's gone
You want everything that isn't left
Inside you're head, just a mess

You can pray to the dark
And hope to fall asleep
You can wish all alone
Until you drown too deep

But do you remember
How to breathe
Wearing an empty heart on your sleeve?

Don't watch the clock too long.

the truth about freedom

The space between inhale and exhale the space between stars fill up with air, and collapse into dust I walk a sunlit path and breath...
