The Angels Are Crying

Every feeling crossed out
Lashed against your skin.

Marked, red and bruised.
My ghosts you've tried to see through.

But I've hidden under covers,
Where no oxygen is left to breathe.
Tripping through a tunnel,
Damp and out of ease.

I'm sorry if you're sorry,
But I don't need a reason to cry.
I'm sorry if you love me,
And answers are impossible for you to give away...

"Be with me," is all I begged,
Your silence in response drained my blood.

every single time.

when i read something, i always want the ending to stick with me. a strong piece of writing means nothing, if you're not left thinking.

"your silence in response drained my blood."

but this ending, boy, it kept me thinking. i really enjoyed reading this, but adore that line. great job. (=

Wow, thank you so, so much.

Your comments bring me some sort of uplifting feeling, and confidence about my writing.

the truth about freedom

The space between inhale and exhale the space between stars fill up with air, and collapse into dust I walk a sunlit path and breath...
